Buying Local Collective

Do you know where your food comes from?

Check out the stickers on your fresh fruit and vegetables at the Supermarket. These usually have the Country of origin printed on them. Have you noticed them? Do you ever honestly look at them? And if you do look at them, would you put it back if it wasn’t from your local area or even your Country ?

What is Locavorism?
The term “Locavore” was first used in San Francisco in 2005 and its creator aimed to buy food within a 100 to 300 mile radius.

The idea is not to have a diet of 100% local food, but to seek out local sources when we can. Supporting not only the Local direct economy but the extended economies of neigbouring communities.
